SCI-Arc | March 2, 2018

On March 2, 2018, Community Works and the LA Unified Arts Education Branch hosted 250 high school students from across Los Angeles at the first annual LA Youth Creativity Summit.  The summit was held at SCI-Arc in the Arts District of Downtown LA. The day included interactive workshops, performances, and opportunities for students and teachers to exchange ideas. Students explored the role of creativity in their lives through dance, visual arts, music, technology, film, photography, design and community activism.

Workshops were provided by: ArtworxLA, LACMA, Get Lit - Words Ignite, Inner-City Arts, LA Commons, Las Fotos Project, SPARC, SCI-Arc, Two-Bit Circus, Write Girl / Bold Ink Writers, Young Producers Group, Versa-Style, Akasa, and more!
